In 2029, the International Dragon Class turns 100. Join us in Marstrand – close to the waters where the story of the Dragon began – for a once-in-a-generation gathering celebrating a century of sailing history and looking forward to the next.

D100 will be more than a major international regatta. It will be a gathering of the Dragon community: a week of racing, friendship and celebration, bringing together the class’s remarkable past with its future.

The Gothenburg Royal Yacht Club and the Swedish Dragon Association invite Dragon sailors from around the world to Marstrand for the centenary.

Transportation

Marstrand is just a 40-minute drive from Gothenburg and its international harbour. We will make sure that all local logistics are arranged to run as smoothly as possible.

How many participants are expected to take part in the celebration?

Based on previous milestone events, such as the 75th and 90th anniversaries, a strong international turnout is anticipated. These jubilees attracted large and diverse fleets, combining top-level competitors with Corinthian teams and Classic Dragons. For the centenary, we expect even broader participation, with the fleet potentially reaching up to 200 boats, reflecting both the global appeal of the class and the significance of the 100-year celebration.
